Our 2017 weddings – From Texas & London to Provence

15th December 2017

Earlier this year we planned the beautiful wedding of E&D.

With guests travelling from the US, the UK, Sweden and a bit everywhere around the globe, we ought to plan a wedding that everyone would enjoy and never forget!

Sourcing the perfect wedding venue in the South of France

The couple chose two venues to hold their weekend events. The first one is a very well known luxury hotel and wedding venue in Gordes, Provence. The 5 star hotel was the perfect spot for this pre wedding cocktail event, with views over the gorgeous landscapes of the Luberon. A cocktail reception with champagne, rosé and canapés was served in the gardens of the venue, entertained by a lovely local guitarist / singer duo.

The next day was the wedding. For this main event, the couple chose a magnificent chateau that has been recently entirely refurbished. With features such as a pond, an olive grove, a precious small chapel, a beautiful courtyard, and views over vineyards, this chateau in Provence has absolutely everything you could dream of for a French destination wedding in Provence.

A wedding day in Provence

The wedding ceremony was held in front of the beautiful facade of this provencal chateau, dominated by a majestic double staircase which we decorated with natural – like climbing roses.

Following the ceremony the couple and their guests were served refreshments, champagne and canapés on the grounds of the chateau. The guitarist/singer duo was back with a different repertoire to bring a soft, relaxed atmosphere to the afternoon.

Styling a chateau wedding dinner in France

The dinner was held in the courtyard of the chateau, lit with festoon lights. A strolling band entertained the guests during the dinner and made the party start on the dinner chairs!

After dinner guests were taken back to the cocktail reception space, turned into a disco. The dance floor was set up under a giant plane tree, from which a beautiful chandelier and falling fairy lights were hanging, bringing a magical and super romantic feel to the space.

Next day pool party at a French chateau

The next day a relaxed brunch was organised on the other side of the chateau, by the pool and the vineyards. With lots of fun pool inflatables and a live DJ, the afternoon was enjoyed by everyone.
