Nicole & John got married 7 years ago in Paris. 7 years, and we still love the ceremony and dinner design created for this beautiful, intimate event.
Flying from the US, Nicole, John and their families and closest friends gathered in Paris to enjoy a few special days together. The couple chose the Shangri La, a central venue with magnificent historical rooms, perfect for an intimate and elegant event, and a small terrace with views of the Eiffel tower.
The weekend started with some shopping outing for Nicole and her friends, followed by a relaxed welcome dinner in a Parisian restaurant.
On the wedding morning, Nicole and her mum got pampered in Nicole's room, while John got ready with his friends.
The ceremony was set in the "rotonde", which until then has only ever been used as a welcome area. The impressive stained glass and the grandeur of the space seemed to us that it should be a central part of the event rather than a space guests would pass through. The couple trusted us with our idea to hold the ceremony there in front of the gorgeous stained glass. As per the bride's wishes, we decorated the aisle and the couple space with petals and lots of candles.
After ceremony the couple went to take pictures at a few Parisian landmarks while their guests enjoyed delicious food on the venue's terrace. A Montmartre caricaturist was there to offer fun portraits that guests could take back home.
Dinner was set up in the most beautiful room of the venue and one of the most beautifully Parisian salon we know. With its high ceiling, crystal chandeliers, gold details and beautiful mantel, it is hard not to fall in love with that space. Beautiful florals and lots of candles made it feel like Nicole and John's own very elegant home in Paris.
After cutting the cake, on a well timed schedule, everyone went out in the gardens to see the Eiffel tower twinkle, as she does every hour for 5 minutes only.
