Chloe & Mathieu held a relaxed yet beautiful welcome dinner and party the evening before their wedding near their wedding venue on a lovely property at the entrance of one of the prettiest villages of Provence.

It was lovely to see the bride and groom welcome their guest to the south of France and to see how everyone was so happy to be there and to be spending the next few days together.

To conduce the relaxed, vibrant and fun atmosphere the couple was after we imagined an evening starting with drinks and canapes, time for everyone to arrive and for families to confidently leave their kids to the care of our team of baby sitters. After a few cocktails and some fun live stations all the guests moved to the pool side where we had set up 5 long wooden tables. For these we created a fun and colourful design with gorgeous floral plates, wooden cutlery, some coloured glassware, and adorned with centre pieces mixing flowers, fruits and vegetables.

Although the couple’s beloved dog couldn’t make the journey to France, they found a heartwarming way to include her in their celebration. They created a charming, restaurant-style menu named in her honour: Brasserie de Rosie. The menu featured a beautifully hand-drawn illustration of their furry family member, complete with a proud French chef’s hat. A playful and personal touch that delighted their guests!

Starters and later on cheeses and desserts were presented on lovely wooden market stalls, decorated like typical Provencal market stalls are with garlic and peppers strings. We created little tags to go on each food so guests could quickly understand what was on offer. There was even a breads stalls!

The main was served family style so once guests had taken their starters at the provencal market they did not have to move again for main course. Juicy meat as well as potatoe gratin and vegetables were placed at the centre of the tables for guests to help themselves, as you would at a family table.

The evening was punctuated with a series of speeches and as the sun set, the festoon lights provided a very cosy and festive ambiance.

After dinner, anyone who wanted a little pre wedding party moved to the dance floor!

A few words about the welcome baskets: To ensure every guest felt warmly welcomed, great care went into curating the thoughtful welcome baskets. These included local delights like a bottle of rosé for sipping, Provençal calissons for a sweet treat, herb-scented almonds for something savory, and a QR-coded magnet linking to the couple's Spotify playlist. A special nod to the groom's heritage was a piece of Spanish nougat, honoring his grandmother’s tradition of hospitality, along with an itinerary to keep everyone in the loop.
