“ANNE-LAURE MADE OUR WEDDING PLANNING SMOOTH AND ENJOYABLE, DESPITE THE CHALLENGES OF HALF OF OUR FAMILIES LIVING IN Hong Kong AND HALF IN FRANCE AND LONDON. WE CANNOT RECOMMEND ET VOILA WEDDINGS HIGHLY ENOUGH.”
Gorgeous wedding at la Bastide de Gordes, a 5 star hotel in the heart of the most authentic and beautiful village of the Luberon.
Planning a wedding at La Bastide de Gordes was definitely a box we wanted to tick and we are so pleased that we got the opportunity to have our first wedding there with the lovely L&K.
With families from Hong Kong, France and London, and friends from all over, L&K’s wedding was a very international one! The intimate setting of the venue was perfect to keep everyone together and make sure that all groups had the opportunity to mix, while enjoying the amazing views over the landscapes of Provence.
The bride wore a fabulous Monique Lhuillier dress for the ceremony and reception, then changed into a more fluid Camille Marguet dress for the dancing party. The groom chose Dolce 7 Gabbana for his attire, from suit to shoes.
The ceremony was set by the beautiful long pool at the Bastide de Gordes. We had an arch specially designed for the space, which was extra large as to not shrink the views over the water and the landscape behind. The flower girl and page boy were carrying provencal wicker baskets filled with greenery for a fresh, simple style.
After ceremony guests were served champagne and canapés in the gardens, and entertained by a live band playing a mix of oldies and French songs.
The dinner was set on one of the terraces of the venue, underneath large mulberry trees. Candles were hanging from the tree under which the bride and groom were sat. Table names were written in calligraphy on specially cut local Gordes stones.
