The wedding of a French girl and her Texan boy in one of the most beautiful chateaux you can find in Provence.
E&D got married in early June under the warm sun of Provence and invited their guests to discover some of the most beautiful venues the area has on offer.
The weekend started with a welcome drinks party in the hanging gardens of the gorgeous Bastide de Gordes, a 5* hotel set on a cliff.
For their wedding day, this French-American couple were after an elegant, beautiful, high end service wedding yet with a relaxed atmosphere, because after all their guests were all family and close friends.
With them we developed a vision of soft colours that are particularly well suited to Provence and that complement the scenery and the setting rather than taking over the surrounding beauty. Soft pinks, blues, lavender purple, and local greenery did just that.
The ceremony was set in front of the chateau. The majestic staircase was decorated of simple climbing like garden roses, in a very natural manner, as if they were naturally growing on the railings. The chairs chosen for the ceremony also melted in and complemented the decor. Chairs are such an important part of the decor, so often overlooked, yet when there are many of them it is important to choose them right!
A live duo entertained the guests during the cocktail reception in the shade of centenary trees.
The dinner in the courtyard was illuminated by hundreds of lights and candles and entertained by a sextet strolling band that made the guests sing and dance at their tables!
Then everyone moved back towards the chateau on a dance floor that looked like set under and enchanted tree, decorated with a stunning large cristal chandelier and plenty of hanging fairy lights.
The next day a brunch was organised on the other side of the chateau by the pool and on a terrace overlooking vineyards.
We would like to thank E&D for their trust, and their guests for being such an amazing crowd!
