This is an intimate destination wedding in the South of France we planned for a couple of New Yorkers willing to tie the knot in a simple setting in Provence.
We loved styling this masculine wedding, selecting raw materials and flowers that would provide the right setting for a same sex wedding in France.
For them we put together a mood board featuring wood, natural stone, leather elements, lots of greenery to include succulents and small olive trees, terra cotta pots, glass, and of course beautiful lavenders.
The wedding was set outdoors from start to finish. The ceremony was held in front of the French provencal chateau by the majestic 4 meters high gates. These were decorated with foliage and lavender garlands attached all along the edges either side, “enclosing” the grooms without blocking the views of the lovely fountain behind and making the most the majestic heights of the gates.
The dinner was set in the gardens of the venue, by a lovely fountain which we later used as a wishing well. Festoon lights were hung above the tables, a dance floor was set up for some outdoor dancing with some DANCE light letters bringing the party atmosphere!
As a “Thank you” for being there, guests received lovely individual favour boxes filled with local specialties and delicacies.
